MEET YOUR PACK LEADER

My connection with animals began with my very first dog, a lively beagle named Ladybug. When I was a child, Ladybug was my watchful guardian and faithful companion - looking out for me and my siblings, always ensuring we were loved and protected. I quickly realized that she was much more than just a pet; she was a member of our family who taught me just how deep the bond between humans and animals can be. That understanding continues to inspire my passion for pet care and shapes my business today.

I chose to dedicate my services to sensitive and special-needs pets because this community is often underserved. I am honored to offer the deep patience and specialized expertise these wonderful animals need to thrive.

Consistency is key to a happy pet and my services are built around regular, recurring visits to maintain the routine and familiarity that sensitive pets - especially seniors and those with FAS - rely on. Through dedicated attention and engaging companionship, I support your pets physical, emotional and behavioral well-being.

My goal is simple: provide high-quality, ongoing care that keeps your pet safe and happy, giving you the confidence to go about your day without worry.

MY PHILOSOPHY:

For a senior pet or an animal living with high stress or sensory loss, a new face every few months isn't just a change - it's a disruption. To provide the safest, most calming environment possible, I work with a small Core Client Circle. By prioritizing families who require regular, weekly visits, I ensure your pet benefits from a consistent, trusted companion, thus reducing anxiety and preserving their comfort.  Key benefits to this are:

  • Builds Deep Trust:  Reduces Fear, Anxiety and Stress (FAS) through predictable, familiar routines.

  • Tracks Subtle Health Changes:  For seniors and sensory impaired pets, daily or weekly observation is key to catching mobility or cognitive shifts early.

  • Provides True Peace of Mind:  You never have to worry about "vetting" a new sitter, I am a dedicated extension of your pets care team.

A FEW THINGS THAT MAKES ME DIFFERENT
(and why it matters for YOU)

Because I work with a smaller, carefully chosen group of clients compared to larger companies, I am able to provide more in-depth, one-on-one care for your pet, focusing on deep impact enrichment and high-touch experiences.

Strong Rapport & Bond:
Being the only sitter your pet would see allows me to quickly develop a strong rapport and bond with them.  Because of my smaller client base, I am able to take the time to learn your pets mannerisms, preferences, daily habits and overall way of being, so that if
something seems off with them, I'll notice and be able to let you know right away. This is especially important for pets with any medical, physical or behavioral issues.

I will become like an old friend to your pet, keeping them engaged, comfortable and happy while you are away.

Communication:
Communication is KEY to fostering any good relationship and my being a solo sitter provides that for you. I will always answer and return phone calls in a reasonable amount of time.  Keep you up-to-date on your pets experience while you are away from home, taking plenty of photos, providing notes and even sending texts or calling you if requested - offering an additional level of confidence regarding your pets well-being.
I will be very clear on what to expect while you are away - there are no grey areas about who is coming into your home or what services your pet is to receive.

Security:
Being a solo sitter is one of your most secure options.  Knowing you will have only me coming into your home - ONE person with access to your keys, alarm codes,  garage door openers, mailbox and all of your other personal effects.  Being a solo sitter, you get peace of mind knowing I will be the familiar face your pets recognize and trust coming through your door.

Being certified allows me to provide immediate life-saving care to your pet in the event of an emergency.

The training required to receive this certificate provides me with the skills to recognize distress, administer critical care for incidents like choking or cardiac arrest and stabilize your pet until professional veterinary help is available.

This certificate must be renewed every 2 years as CPR techniques and first aid best practices are updated, so recertification ensures that I am trained and up to speed with the most current information.

Being Fear Free® certified demonstrates my expertise in minimizing your pets fear, anxiety, and stress, leading to safer, more positive experiences for them.

Certification provides me the tools, knowledge and resources to create individualized, calming and low-stress interactions with your pet while you are away, greatly benefiting your pets emotional well-being.

Fear Free® practices transform potentially stressful interactions, like greetings or handling, into more positive ones.

The Fear Free® certification must be renewed as well, in this case annually in order to keep me knowledgeable on the most current techniques. This ensures I am providing the safest, calmest environment for your pet.

Focusing on your pets mental, emotional and behavioral health, helps me contribute to their overall well-being during my time caring for them.

Provides you financial protection and peace of mind by covering potential accidents, injuries to your pets, property damage and theft.

Licensed:
Being a licensed pet professional means I have met all necessary local and state government requirements to operate a legitimate business, ensuring professional accountability and strict adherence to industry standards.  I am not an Independent Contractor, nor a Hobby Sitter, my business structure is an LLC, which means I am bound by state laws and all the requirements, responsibilities and obligations that go with it.

Bonded:
Being bonded means my business has a fidelity bond, a form of insurance that protects you, my client, from financial losses due to theft or fraudulent acts by myself or any Snoodlebugs employee.  As I am a solo sitter and have no employees, this is not a requirement for my business, however I still choose to carry it.  To me, it is more important to give you that added peace of mind and protection to help build your trust and confidence in me. This provides you a financial guarantee, covering damages to your personal property or the theft of belongings from your home while your pet is in my care.

Insured:
This is a crucial layer of protection for both clients and myself as a comprehensive pet services liability policy typically covers:

Care, Custody, and Control (CCC):

Covers injuries to any pets in my care, including vet visits and medical expenses.

Property Damage:

Pays for damages to your home or personal property, such as a broken vase or a damaged couch.

Business Liability:

Covers me if I cause a third party to get hurt, like a dog biting someone while in my care.

Pet Sitters International (PSI) is the largest educational association for professional pet-sitting/dog-walking business owners in the world. It's membership is comprised of pet-care professionals from the USA, Canada and 20+ other countries.

PSI has been the most trusted name in professional pet sitting for 3 decades and  members such as myself have access to the best business tools and educational resources in the industry. Through this membership, I am able to keep informed on the latest pet-care best practices, pet health and behavior information, including tips to ensure the safety of your pets.

Being a PSI professional member means annual renewals to remain active. I encourage pet parents to always verify a sitter's current membership status through the PSI Pet Sitter Locator.

I understand that senior pets and those with sensory loss or decline require a unique level of attention and care. As a lifelong pet owner myself, I know how stressful it can be to leave a vulnerable family member behind when away for the day. My mission is to ease that worry by providing reliable, specialized and gentle care right in your pets own home.

Whether it's giving medication, assisting with mobility or involving your pet in stimulating activities designed for their unique needs, I possess both the compassion and skills to keep your pet happy, comfortable and safe.

Every pet is special. Some just need a little extra love and care!
